Pint-sized Pony Problem Solved

Pedro the Shetland Pony was previously unable to see over the stable door at Ebony Horse Club, London, but now uses his specially designed ‘Pedroscope”

When pint sized Pedro was unable to see over his stable door and missing out on what was going on outside his stable, he was given his own special periscope by the big-hearted team at Brixton charity Ebony Horse Club.

A creative bunch of Brixton children and a kind donation from a printing firm in Stockport – a World’s first when it comes to equestrian product engineering have designed a 1.5m periscope for their much-loved Shetland Pedro, only whilst they raise £700 to buy him a new miniature stable with a lower door.

Ebony Horse Club operates in Coldharbour Ward, Brixton – one of the most disadvantaged inner-city neighbourhoods in the country. There is a historic legacy of under-achievement in schools, high rates of teenage pregnancy and negative stereotypes of young people, gang violence and drug related crime. Ebony is a safe place where they learn important life skills, partake in a regular sport and it exists in the heart of their community.
