Can this be the future vaulting uniform please?

If you’re going to have a model balancing on horseback in your campaign, it’s hard to think of anyone more qualified for the job than supermodel and accomplished event rider Edie Campbell. Our current cover girl fronts the newly released SS17 Versace campaign with Anna Ewers, shot by the legendary Bruce Weber in Kentucky – proper horse country – and styled by Jacob K.

The campaign captures the collection’s sporty, energetic mood (“a collection about the dynamic moment and the freedom of the Versace life,” Donatella Versace notes), epitomised by the nylon parka and go-faster bodysuit Edie opened the show in.

“Creating the visual campaign for Donatella’s new collection has been exciting because it involves nature and horses and freedom,” Bruce Weber says. “Freedom of choice, freedom of expression and freedom of speech. I think it’s always interesting that fashion can carry messages in a subtle way and make people think about their own lives and how they can make it better.”
